100% Metal Proudly Presents: Blackbriar, originating from Assen, the Netherlands, and producing gothic, symphonic, and alternative metal, will be on stage at IF Beşiktaş on November 29th!
The band, known for their unique mystical atmosphere, fairytale-like storytelling, and powerful vocals, is preparing to meet their fans in Türkiye.
Formed in 2012, Blackbriar quickly gained a large following. Vocalist Zora Cock's unique voice combined with the band's dark, melancholic melodies has made them a leading name in the genre. The band made their debut with the EP "Fractured Fairytales," and continued their rise with successful EPs like "We'd Rather Burn" and "Our Mortal Remains." Their 2021 debut studio album, "The Cause of Shipwreck," made a splash in the gothic metal scene. They showed how much they had matured musically with their album "A Dark Euphony" released in 2023.
Blackbriar's lyrics often revolve around fairy tales, mythological elements, and supernatural themes. Tracks like "Until Eternity," "Snow White and Rose Red," and "The Séance" are just a few that perfectly capture the band's dark and romantic atmosphere. Recent releases like "Moonflower" and "Floriography" have also exceeded fans' expectations.
The band's lineup includes Zora Cock on vocals, Bart Winters and Robin Koezen on guitars, Siebe Sol Sijpkens on bass, Ruben Wijga on keyboards, and René Boxem on drums. Blackbriar, whose stage performances have garnered significant acclaim, has established itself on the international stage by sharing the same stage with world-renowned bands like Epica and Halestorm. In 2022, they signed with Nuclear Blast, one of metal music's leading record labels, marking a significant step in their career.
