100% Metal Proudly Presents: Mantar, the uncompromising sludge metal band from Northern Germany, brings their wild energy that has shaken the European metal scene to the Blind stage on October 13, 2026! Founded in 2012 by Erinç Sakarya and Hanno Klänhardt, Mantar is now one of the first names that comes to mind when thinking of sludge metal in many parts of Europe. Having achieved great success with their 2022 album "Pain Is Forever and This Is The End," which reached number 2 on the German charts, the band returns with an even darker and rawer spirit.
With their new album “Post Apocalyptic Depression,” Mantar returns to their roots, stepping back from the clean waters of production and reviving their famous “dirty and fast” musical style from their early days. As guitarist and vocalist Hanno puts it, these new tracks, recorded spontaneously with whatever equipment they could find in the studio, represent the band's purest and most aggressive sound to date. Melting the muddy spirit of bands like Melvins, Nirvana's “Bleach” era, and Mudhoney in a modern metal crucible, Mantar is known for creating a massive sound wall with just two musicians on stage. Recorded as a kind of spiritual healing after a difficult period where Erinç and Hanno narrowly avoided a breakup, these new tracks renew Mantar's identity and elevate their stage energy to the expected high levels. Celebrating their fourteenth year of career with an uncompromising and aggressive stance, Mantar will be at Blind for their second Istanbul concert on October 13th.
