100% Metal Proudly Presents: To celebrate the 30th anniversary of their legendary album Mandylion, The Gathering with Anneke Van Giersbergen and The Pineapple Thief will share the stage.
On the evening of June 25th, Zorlu PSM will host two special names in alternative music: The Gathering and The Pineapple Thief. These bands, from two different regions but touching on similar emotions, will offer listeners a timeless musical evening. The Gathering returns to the stage after a long hiatus with their original vocalist, Anneke Van Giersbergen. With this tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of their cult 1995 album Mandylion, the band pays tribute to their past. Tracks like Strange Machines, Leaves, and Sand and Mercury will come to life again with live interpretations after many years. The Gathering's music still reminds us of the same thing: that melancholy, elegance, and power can coexist.
The day's other featured act, The Pineapple Thief, has brought a new form of expression to the modern progressive rock scene over the last twenty years. Bruce Soord's distinctive voice and the band's cinematic sound make them a little more unique with each album. Albums like Your Wilderness, Dissolution, and It Leads to This demonstrate how mature The Pineapple Thief's narrative is, both emotionally and technically. On June 25, 2026, the nostalgia of The Gathering and the present of The Pineapple Thief will meet on the same night. This concert will recall one era while redefining another. On one side, the echo of the past, on the other, the voice of the future.
